had arranged the trail perfectly :
everything we asked for, a custom-made trip.
Whether it was possible to make a teahouse trekking to
the Gosainkunda-lakes en the Langtang-valley, followed
by a tent-trekking to Paldor Base Camp and the Tiru
Danda?
No problem. And the price turned out to be very
reasonable as well.
Lakpa Sherpa was our guide for over 3 weeks. He seemed
to know every path and every mountain. We always got the
most beautiful rooms (the rooms with a view) in the best
lodges.And with Sandjib Gurung, our young porter, we
always had fun.
During the first week we had amazing views of the
Himalaya, from the Annapurnas, over the Manaslu and the
Ganesh Himal to Langtang. From our room, we could even
enjoy the sunset and sunrise in this magnificent
landscape.
During the following week, we hiked through the
Langtang-valley to Kianjing Gompa. There we climbed the
5000m high Tsergo Ri. The next morning, we walked into
the desert valley, up to Langisha Karka. That were
fantastic days.
Week 3 : the tent-trekking with a staff of 11 people
(for just the two of us!).
They prepared delicious food and we slept in excellent
Swiss Vaude-tents.
Unfortunately, Jan fell during a hike and dislocated his
shoulder. The helicopter-rescue was arranged as quick as
possible. Lila even joined the helicopter to pick us up.
He took care of everything in the hospital, and later on
in the hotel. (Again 1000times thanks)
This was our second trip to Nepal. Again, we enjoyed the
most splendid mountain-views and the nicest people in
the world. We'll be back!
And another certitude :
Trip Himalaya,
a real must !
We came as customers, we left as friends.
