Mr. Thagandra Gurung (Mountain Bike Guide): Born in one of the remote villages of Matsyapokhari V.D.C. Ward No. 2, Sankhuwa-sabha in eastern Nepal. He grew up there in an ordinary family, going to the village primary school and working hard as a farmer. When he finished school he came to Kathmandu to work. He was interested in working in tourism, beginning first as a porter supporting trekking groups, including work in on a bike trek, a trip during which he fell in love with mountain bikes and became a great friend with one trip member who gave him a bike and taught him how to become a better rider. Thagandra then began to lead groups, particularly bike treks. He is now a very experienced mountain biker and bike trek leader, and participated in many bike races including both national and international events such as the Chamonix bike race in 1990 in France, the Cristalp bike marathon in Switzerland in 2001, and the Classic bike race 2004, also in Switzerland, as well as Himalayan championship events and triathlons in Nepal. He has finished in 10:24:02,2 (120km) race and he got 94 Rang on the Race.He has visit many other countries, including France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland in Europe, and Thailand, China and India in Asia. Lila was born in Matsya Pokhari V.D.C. 2, Sankhuwa-sabha district in eastern part of Nepal in 1968. When he finished high school he moved to Kathmandu looking for a job in a trekking company. He began work as a trek porter in 1989 with Discover Nepal; staying with until 1994.During this time he took both the basic and advanced mountaineering courses of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (in 1991 and 1992 respectively). He also completed the trekking guide course of the Hotel Management & Tourism Training Centre in 1993. Lila was been a trek and mountaineering guide for Trekking Team from 1994 to 1997 and has since had many more years of experience with trekking and mountaineering groups. He was Senior Trekking and Mountaineering Guide for Plan Holidays Treks & Expedition from 1998 to 2004 leading trekking and mountaineering groups in Nepal, India and Europe. Lila has climbed more then 15 Nepalese trekking peaks and has also summated Mont Blanc Four  times in France. He has traveled to India, Tibet and also to Europe where he has visited 7th times in Belgium, Germany, Holland, Luxembourg, Italy, France and Switzerland. More ››

Dambar Gurung (Manager)

Dambar Gurung manager of Trip Himalaya Mr. Dambar B. Gurung works on the management site of the Company. He was born in Sankhuwa-Sabha in 1971 and received a Bachelor degree in Management Studies in 1996. Dambar has an excellent background in tourism, and is a former trek guide, successfully completing trek guide training in 1998 (when he achieved an 'A'grade. He has more than a decade of experience in trekking and tour management, and is familiar with Nepalese cultures, traditions and natural history.

Lakpa Dorje Sherpa (Trekking/bike Guide)

Lakpa Dorche is company's Guide. he has born in District Solukhumbu, V.D.C. Lokhim-9 (from Everest region), in 1974. After finished his High school he begun to work as a assistant Sherpa Guide with his Uncle for Samsungs trekking & Expedition and also Himalayan Expeditions Agency since 1994 to 1996 for three years. After 1996 he worked for Sherpa Expedition as Trekking Guide till 1999. In 1999 he completed Guide training from Hotel Management and Tourism training center. He has done excellent and “A” Grade. After his trained he worked for One World Travel and Trekking as a senior Guide (sirder) since 1999 to 2004. He also has been working for Green Hill treks & Expeditions since 2000 to 2005 for part time. Now he has been working permanently with Trip Himalaya Treks & Expedition.

Ramshing Tamang (Trekking Cook)

Ramshing Tamang is the Company's cook. He has born in Fikure V.D.C. ward No 7; Nuwakot district, Bagmati, in 1966. After finishing his education he started work as a support porter in 1985, but soon became an expedition cook. He has many years of experience as a trek cook and completed a Cook Training Course at the Hotel Management & Tourism Training Centre in 1998.

Sanjib Gurung is our company guide. He was born in Num (Mt.  Makalu area) V.D.C. ward no.2 (Mangsima), Sangkhuwa Sava district east of Nepal , in 1983. He was finished his school in1999. & finished his high school in 2001. After finished his high school, He came to Katmandu than beginning to working trekking line in porter guide, Sherpa & assistant guide from Trip Himalaya agency since 2002.he is also work in office assistant in Trip Himalaya treks & expedition. He had worked hard continuously in there & after good experience he became a guide. He is working well now in our agency as well as continuously his study.
