Gokyo valley, Gokyo Ri, Over Chola pass is one of the best trekking destination in Everest region.Gokyo Ri (5360m) is of the best views point and offer Cho Oyu, Gyachugkhang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and more.

So if you do first this trek, crossing over chola pass (5420m) and Kalapather (5628m) then climb to Island peak (6189m) will be prefect time and you don’t need any acclimatization.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: pick up from the Airport, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Lukla by flight & trek to phakding (2652m) (4 hours)
Day 04: Phakding to Namche bazaar (3446m) (6 hours).
Day 05: Rest in Namche Bazaar for Acclimatization.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3500m) (5 hours).
Day 07: Phortse Thanga to Dole (4200m) (3:30 hours).
Day 08: Dole to Machherma (4410m) (3:30 hours).
Day 09: Machherma to Gokyo (4750m) (4 hours).
Day 10: Gokyo to Gokyo RI (5360m) Thangna (4700m).
Day 11: Thangna to cholapass O/V in Dzongla (4843m) (7 to 8 hrs.).
Day 12: Dzongla to Labuche (4900m) (4 to 5 hrs).
Day 13: Trek to kalapather (5545m) over night Lobuche (4900m).
Day 14: Trek to chukung (3700m) overnight in Lodge.
Day 15: Trek to Island peak Base Camp (5200m) overnight in Camp.
Day 16: Trek to Island peak High Camp (5500m) overnight in camp.
Day 17: Island peak summit (6189m) overnight in Base Camp (5200m).
Day 18: Trek to Dhingboche (4300m) Overnight in Lodge.
Day 19: Trek to Tengboche overnight in Lodge.
Day 20: Trek to Namche Bazaar overnight in Lodge.
Day 21: Trek to Lukla overnight in Lodge.
Day 22: flight Back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 23: Sightseeing/Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 24: Transfer to International Airport and fly home.
