Nepal's mountainous, hilly and tarai regions provide some of the most spectacular trekking in the world. Trekking in Nepal will take you through a country that has captured the imagination of mountaineers and explorers for more than 100 years. You will meet people in remote mountain villages whose life style has not changed in generations. While trekking (Nepal Trekking), you will see the great diversity of scenery and culture Nepal offers. The beauty and attraction of the Nepal's Himalayas emanates not only from the mountains themselves, but also from their surroundings. Nepal is a country of friendly people, picturesque villages and a great variety of cultures and traditions.
Trip Himalaya Treks & Expedition is a fully registered trekking company (Nepal Trekking Agency) that organizes treks to Nepal's remotest regions or along the regular trails, with a full camping team or using tea houses, for both individuals and groups. Treks in Nepal can be as long as 2 months or as short as 2 days. It can be remote with few people, local or tourists, or very sociable along the main trails with plenty of tea houses and facilities. There are suitable trails for the super fit and for those of you who prefer a more gentle ramble. Do not think the Himalayas is only suitable for the hard and rugged as there are other trails suitable for those amateur trekkers who have seldom gained the experience of the mountains in their lives.
LODGE TREK (Tea House Trekking in Nepal)
There are three major trekking areas in Nepal where it is possible to walk very well defined trails and stay at local teahouses which vary from two storey hotels to small family homes (Tea House Trekking in Nepal). The areas are Annapurna, Langtang/Helambu and Everest. Your food and accommodation is arranged in the tea houses built locally along the trails so that we do not need to carry any camping equipment or food stuffs. You will also meet other trekkers in a very sociable environment. All the tea houses are run by Nepalese people so do not think you are missing out on opportunities to mix with the locals. Having a guide for navigational and language purposes is a great benefit - the guides are worth their weight in gold when it comes to making sure you have a full experience of the best Nepal has to offer. Nepalese people by nature have patience and an enthusiasm for life which is envied and respected by nearly all visitors to Nepal. As you encounter the people, they at once welcome you heartily to their lands and provide you an opportunity of experiencing typical Nepalese mountain life. All of our English spoken guides have a good knowledge of the areas you will be trekking. All you need to bring for a tea house trek are warm clothes for the evening, a water bottle; a camera and a good sleeping bag (please see the trekking equipment list). Trip Himalaya organizes the rest - permits, food and accommodation.
ORGANIZED (Camping Trekking in Nepal) Trek
An organized trek is for those of you who do not want to be on the main trails and want to experience the joys of camping (Camping Trekking in Nepal) in wilderness Nepal. Our organized treks involve going as a fully self sufficient team, with cooks, porters and a guide. It is not roughing-it though! Camping with a good crew in Nepal can best be described as a great experience, not an endurance exercise. Every morning, you have a hot cup of tea brought to you in bed and then a bowl of hot water for washing. The food that our team create over kerosene stoves deserves to go in its own best selling cook book, so do not expect to lose weight. An organized trek is a great way to mix with Nepalese people. The teams are fun and there are generally a couple of nights experiencing the local songs and dances of Nepal - when the porters and crew are in the mood. You will trek for anything from 4 to 6 hours a day, but at a relaxed pace, stopping en routes when necessary or appropriate to see local village life. While you trek you just carry your small backpack with the things you may need for the day.
