fly/drive to Skardu & take soft top 4x4 jeeps to the
trail head, Askole. As we trek up to this un-worldly place
we enter a remarkable wilderness of ice, rock and sky.
By the time we reach Paiju Camp at the foot of the Baltoro
Glacier, we begin to feel the pulse of creation: the melting
ice, rolling rocks, the creaking and groaning of the glacier,
as it rearranges its icy rivers. Reach Concordia for the
most incredible mountain views in the world as we are
surrounded by giants such as K2, Broad Peak, G IV and
several others. Cross over Gondogoro La and end your trek
in the Hushe Valley. |
