A 2 month expedition to climb the biggest Pyramid in the World Chogori (Adobe of snow), is the local Balti name of world's second highest mountain. Commonly known as K2, it was first climbed by Italians in 1954. While it may rate less in stature and popularity than Everest, to the mountaineer it is the 'mountain of mountains'.

With only just over 100 successful ascents and a mortality total of 35, K2 is a serious but compelling objective. Its allure arises from the combination of its isolation, extremes of weather, great altitude, and the difficulty of climbing.
