Chepang Hill (Siraichuli Trek)

Chepang PeopleChepang Hill culture Trek and Siraichuli hill (1945m), is standing of Mahabharat range north from Chitwan National Park, offers spectacular views of the mountains and magnificent sunrise and sunset views. The view includes a range of Himalayan peaks such as Rolwaling, Dorche Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Langtang, Manaslu Range, Himalchuli, Anapurna range, Dhaulagiri rare view flatland and spectacular sunrise and sunsets can be clearly observed cultural experiences of chepang and other ethnic groups bird watching and other natural attractions make this trek.

The Chepang people, some 0.4 percent of the total population, are one of the 61 indigenous groups recognized by the government. They live in the inhospitable and rugged terrain of the central hills of Nepal. Previously known for their anthropological importance, the Chepang people have increasingly become one of the most marginalized groups in Nepal. Until recently, they were a hunter-gatherer tribe and their dependence on agriculture is only a recent development. They live closely in touch with nature and have a detailed knowledge of surrounding animal plants.
 

 Day by day Itinerary:-
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and drive to Hotel with B/B.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Soyambunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbare squire with Guide over night in Hotel with B/B.

Day 03: sightseeing in Bhaktapur Durbar squire and Patan Durbare Squire over night in Hotel with B/B.

Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu to Hugdi Bazaar (306m) And trek to Hattibang about 5 hrs.Hattibang (1410m) over night in Camp B/L/D. this is more culture trek and little bit steep up.

 Day 05: Hattibang to Jyndala (1600m) - walk around 4 to 5 hours. Trek to Jyandala Changa-Dinglang and overnight at Jyandala.this is a pure Chepang village. Over night in Camp B/L/D.

Day 06: Jyandala to Siraichuli- Chisapanitar- Gadi (1275m): walk around 6 hours.
Jyandala –Siraichuli- Chisapanitar- Gadi Trek to Siraichuli for mountain views, sunrise or sunset. Trek to Chisapanitar for Bird watching. Trek to Gadi to observe historical fort at Gadi. Overnight: Gadi over night in Camp B/L/D.

Day 07: Gadi to Saktikhor (355m). Walk around 6 Hour.
Trek down from Gadi to Shaktikhor. Cultural experience at Shaktikhor, observe Chepang Museum Overnight: over night in Camp B/L/D.

 

Day 08: breakfast in the camp and drive to Chitwan National Park about 1:30 hrs. Arrive in Resort lunch in the camp, and Camp manager will give you some information about Chitwan to program. Afternoon visit Tharu Museum and village tour. Over night in Hotel B/L/D

 

Day 09: Chitwan full day's program. After Breakfast canoe trip, Jungle walks and Back to Hotel and you will have Lunch. In the afternoon you will have elephant ridding and evening after diner Tharu couture program. Over night in Hotel B/L/D.

 

Day 10: Jeep safari visit 20,000 lakes where you can see many different kinds of Bird and wild Life over night in Hotel B/LD.

Day 11: Breakfast Bird watching,  Jeep drive to Tourist Bus station and drive to Kathmandu or Bharatpur Airport flight to Kathmandu over night in Hotel with B/B.


Day 12: Departure to Home.
