Renjo Pass, Chola Pass, Gokyo, Chola pass, Kalapathar & Everest Base Camp Trekking

Mt. Everest, Makalu and Gokyo Lake view from Renjo pass 5330m.Photo by Lila Gurung 17 April 2008Rejo Pass Trek is  one of the most challenging routes in the Everest region. but now this route also very popular for trekkers, because few years ago it is only possible with fully camping gears, but now there are some tea House in Marlung and Lunden. The trek continues from Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Thame, Lunden and  over Ranjo Pass to Gokyo Valley. Renjo pass (5330)m offer spectacular views of Gokyo Lake and Mt. Everest (8850)m, which is height Mountain on earth.

Gokyo valley is most beautiful valley and specially there are many lakes and Gokyo  Ri (5360m)m is spectacular views of Himalaya include, Cho oyu, Everest and Makalu and more....from Gokyo to Thangnak  cross over Nagozumda Glacier which is Rocky, Ice and sandy and Thangnak is very small place and there is only three tea house. Chola pass is quite steep up from Thangnak, but great views of Amadablam and Lobuche east. (but in winter this pass is closed).

Zongla (Lobuche Valley) is very small place and there is only two Tea House. most of the high season is difficult to fine the accommodation. But from Zongla to Gorackshep is not hard to get there. so if weather is great the best way you can climb to kalapather in sun seat view. Everest Base Camp is very special in spring, because there will be more then 40 Expedition from all of the world. but from the base camp you can not see the Mt. Everest, but just you imaging how big is west khumbu Ice Fall. so after base camp always way down to tengboche Monastery, Namche and Lukla is normal and easy way and flight to Kathmandu.
