Trip Information

The Manaslu Circuit Trek now usually starts in Arughat Bazaar lies on the newly developed Great Himalaya Trail. The route follows the pine-forested Syala village, which has the backdrop of many horseshoe-shaped peaks, and reaches the village of Samagaon (Sama) at the foot of Manaslu.

There is a Buddhist monastery at Samagaon, where monks and nuns reside. Further trekking leads along a major secondary valley to the Larkha La to Dharapani. From Dharapani there two alternative routes are also popular. One is on the Annapurna trail but leaves it at Dharapani to reach Manang, crossing Thorong La and other one is Nar Phu Valley.

Himblung Valley Nar and Phu, in the Valley of the Nar Khola in the Manang district of Nepal. It forms a dialect continuum with Manang and is "probably intelligible with it". The Nar and Phu share a secret language intended to prevent Gyasumdo and Manang from understanding them. After Nar Phu Valley Trek decent to Nawal Pass and Great views of whole Annapurna range. After trek down to Manang, then trek decent to Tilicho Lake.

Tilicho lake Trekking is one of the highest lakes in the world. It is 4,949 m high in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in Manang district of Nepal. Another source lists Lake Tilicho as being 4,919 meters high (16,138 feet).

Due to the extremely inhospitable surrounding terrain and the difficulties associated with reaching the area, this lake is rarely visited by outsiders. Sujen la pass (5460m) is just great and spactaculer view of Tilicho Peak and Mt. Dhaulagiir and trek decent to Jomsom Valley.
