Trip Himalaya is a fully registered company and is run by a former a Guide with many years experience in mountain biking, trekking and mountaineering.
Staff Insurance & Equipment
All the Company's field staff are insured against personal accidents throughout the year. The Company provides them with all necessary equipment for trekking. The Company's staffs are paid the best salary, as well as an annual festival allowance and extra tour allowances. To ensure that we have the best staff we insist on everyone attending guide or cook courses at the Nepal Mountaineering Association and Hotel Management Tourism Training center. These courses are expensive, but the Company pays the fees at it wants only the best, well-trained, license-holding staff to ensure that our guests make the most of their treks and tours.

We also operate a profit-sharing policy for our staff and ensure that a percentage of their salary is paid into a pension scheme so that they will have money to live on when they retire from trekking.
Control Pollution, Protect Culture
Pollution is a very serious problem throughout the world, but particularly in Nepal which is a very fragile environment. We ensure that any glass and batteries used on our treks are brought back to Kathmandu for recycling, and that all garbage is brought out of sensitive areas such as the Sagarmatha National Park in the Everest region. As well as eight of the highest mountains in the world, there are 6500 known species of tree and more than 800 species of bird in Nepal. It is our duty to protect these for future generations.
Nepali people are traditionally warm and friendly. Most ethnic groups have their own language, so at least 49 mother tongues are spoken in the country. It is important that in a changing world the cultures of these many groups are protected.
