Kathmandu Lhasa Tour is the administrative capital and a prefecture-level city of the Tibet Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. It is the second most populous city on the Tibetan Plateau, after Xining, and at an altitude of 3,490 metres (11,450 ft), Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. The city contains many culturally significant Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Norbulingka palaces, many of which are located in Chengguan District, the city seat.
Shigatse is a county-level city and the second largest city in Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), People's Republic of China. The city is located at an altitude of 3,840 metres (12,600 ft) at the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo (aka Brahmaputra) river and the Nyang River (Nyang Chu or Nyanchue) in west Tibet and was the ancient capital of Ü-Tsang province. It is also the name of the surrounding county.

Outline Itinerary
DAY 01: KATHMANDU (1300M) – LHASA (3650m) Fly to Lhasa by Air China CA408 flight, upon arrival in Lhasa transfer to the hotel.
DAY 02 – 03: IN LHASA. Two full days sight seeing tour to Lhasa including JOKHANG TEMPLE, BARKHOR BAZAAR, POTATLA PALACE, and DEPRUNG AND SERA MONASTERIES. Over night in hotel.
DAY 04: LHASA -GYANTSE: Full day picturesque drive along the turquoise lake Yamadrok, crossing over Kampala Pass (4794M) and the Brahma Putra River (Yarlung Tsangpo). Over night in hotel.
DAY 05: GYANTSE (3,950M)-XIGATSE, 90KM, APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE. Morning sightseeing to the Kumbum Stupa & Palkor Monastery, two hours drive through the Tibet's biggest Agricultural field to Xigatse, sight seeing at Panchen Lama's Tashilumpu Monastery . Over night in hotel.
DAY 06: XIGATSE –LHATSE, APPROX 06-08 HRS DRIVE. Scenic drive through the highest point, Gyatchu La passes (5,220m) en route to Xegar and overnight in Guest house.
DAY 07: LHATSE – NYALAM/ZHANGMU, APPROX DRIVE 06-08 HRS. Day drive to the highest plateau of the world with typical landscape offering the sheer feeling of being on the roof of the world crossing over the 5,050 meters LALUNGA pass, from where you can view the breathtaking mountain range from Mt.Cho Oyu (8,201m) Mt.Xishapagma (8,012m) dwarfed by the vastness of Tibetan plateau (if weather permits) and Overnight in guest house.
DAY 08: NYALAM/ZHANGMU – KATMANDU: Drive down hill to the Nepal-Tibet border and after immigration formalities drive 04/05 hours drive through the beautiful Nepali country side
