Limi Valley to Kailash Trekking is a village and municipality in Humla District in the Karnali Zone of north-western Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 988 persons living in 169 individual households.
Limi, A hidden valley encircled by mountains. It is a remote Trans Himalayan Valley in the north-west Nepal bordering Tibet. It is wide, wonderful and embraces beautiful, untouched and pure village.
Limi Valley is an unknown by world because of remoteness and due to that it has been out of reach for visitors until very recently. It consists of three villages. Til (4100m.) in the west; Zang (3930m.) in the east; and the biggest village Waltse (3700m.) in the middle.
It is Tibet in all but name. They have far better preserved traditional Tibetan culture than across the border. You will see ancient monasteries over 800 years old, which are still very much in use today, and the friendly Limipa still follow an age-old way of life. Today it is one of the ultimate trekking dreams for hikers and those who wish to discover the unique natural and cultural landscape of Tibetan Buddhists. People in there are sustained by simple agriculture and traditional wooden handicrafts for trading in Tibet.
