Singu Chuli Peak climbing (6,501 m) was formerly known as Fluted Peak. The first ascent of this peak was made by Wilf Noyce and David Cox on its North? East Face and the top section of the East Ridge. This mountain has proven to be very difficult to climb for most commercial climbing groups who have tried to concentrate on Tent Peak. Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome), which separates the South and West Annapurna Glaciers.

We first follow the standard trekking trail to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, then cross the South Annapurna Glacier and its moraines to reach grassy meadows which can be used as Base Camp, at 4200m. From there we climb the glacier northwards to reach a ridge where we will set up a high camp, at 4900m.

From high camp continue climbing, between the glacier and the flank of the mountain, to reach a plateau below the north-east face. Here we will set up Camp I on a shelf at 5600m, below the center of the face. We now climb towards the right side of the face to reach a 120m vertical wall which we overcome by taking a gully on the left. We then climb steep steps to gain the upper section of the East Ridge which we follow to the summit. Singu Chuli climbing is one of the most popular in Annapurna region.
